VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTER
Overview
The Vocational Training Center exists to equip older students with the tools they need to build a stable, independent future. While much of our work focuses on rescue, rehabilitation, and reintegration, this center serves a unique role: preparing young people for life beyond our programs through practical skill-building and personal development.
If an individual is above the age of 16, they can participate in vocational training. At this stage, each student selects a skill area where they will train intensively for two years. This hands-on instruction provides a foundation not just for employment, but for long-term success and dignity through work.

Courses of Study
Individuals can choose from one of the following skill areas, based on their interests, abilities, and future goals:
MITS has courses of study in the following skills:
-
Hospitality
-
Automotive
-
Cosmetology
-
Information and Communication Technology
-
Mechanical
-
Carpentry and Joinery
Each course is led by experienced instructors who guide students through both the technical and professional aspects of their chosen field.
Beyond Job Training
In addition to their core training, all vocational students participate in business classes, computer training, and Bible studies. These supplemental courses are designed to prepare them for life after the program. Some will pursue full-time employment, others may start small businesses, and many will return to their communities equipped to lead and serve with purpose.
The Vocational Training Center is more than a place to learn a trade. It is a space where students take ownership of their futures, uncover their potential, and step with confidence into what comes next.
