It all began in 1995.
OUR FOUNDERS
Charles and Darlene Coulston
On August 3rd, 1995, the Coulstons held an event at a local church in Eastleigh for street-connected youth. To their surprise, 200 street kids showed up. At the end of the day, one leader said to the Coulstons, "You know they're coming back tomorrow right?" The next day, 55 street-connected kids showed up and a street ministry begins.
1991- 1992
With Charles earning his Doctorate in Ministry, the Coulstons’ commitment to Kenya
solidified. They expanded VBS programs, underscoring education as a key mission pillar. Their efforts to foster community ties and establish educational initiatives laid the foundation for their future work.
1997-1999
These years marked significant milestones in the Kamulu Development and Girls' Boarding Program including the creation of girls' boarding programs and major infrastructure development in Kamulu. The Coulstons demonstrated their commitment to a holistic missionary approach by focusing on sustainable support mechanisms.
1993-1996
The Coulstons led the expansion of mission activities, notably the Saturday Teen Club
and the foundation of KCITI, reflecting a broader educational mission. The creation of girls' programs marked a pivotal move towards inclusive support, illustrating their holistic approach to missionary work.
2000-2010
These years were marked by major infrastructure expansion and the introduction of
educational retreats. Furthermore, the first international trip of people from the USA represented significant international recognition.
There was continued expansion of educational
and vocational programs underlined the Coulstons’ unwavering dedication to the mission’s success.
