GIVE BACK
We are strong believers that you don't have to fly all the way to Kenya to show your support. There are many ways you can give back! Check out these ideas that our MITS family has come up with for helping out from their home towns.
Run a race
Many people set goals to complete endurance races such as marathons, half-marathons and Ironman triathlons... why not turn it into a fundraiser?
Simply create an account with a fundraising service such as Crowdrise and start spreading the word! Your friends and family will love being part of your journey to the finish line and with every added dollar you raise, imagine those donors along the sidelines, cheering you on to the finish.
Make sure you let us know you're running the race for a cause and we'll help you spread the word through our Facebook page!
Shop and support
Get groceries and give back through Kroger Community Rewards. Visit www.kroger.com and log in or create an account. Once logged in, go to Account > My Account > Community Rewards.
Search for "Made in the Streets" or by our number KG382 and click "enroll."
*You must live in TN and have a registered Kroger rewards card account. Cards are available at the customer service desk at any Kroger.
Calling coffee lovers
Bob had the idea to serve fresh and delicious coffee at church and donate the proceeds to MITS. He calls his ministry "Sacred Grounds."
Now church members can sleep in a few minutes longer, knowing their fresh coffee is waiting for them at church!
We recommend purchasing Kenyan coffee beans (because they're the best in the world) but maybe we're just biased.
Give your birthday
Why not use your birthday this year to help someone else?
Announce via Facebook, Twitter, word of mouth, or email that this year you don't want presents for your 27th birthday. Instead you want all your friends and family to donate $27 in your honor to MADE IN THE STREETS. Just pass around this link: https://gift.idonate.com/mits/madeinthestreetsdonation and you're done!
Or for an even easier way, try setting up a birthday fundraiser on Facebook.
