We are blessed to have a board of directors who freely give their time as they meet quarterly and provide valuable guidance to our ministry. We recently had three outstanding new members join our board. Introducing...
Becky Cowart
Becky is married to Dick Cowart, a healthcare attorney. They have three grown daughters and three grandsons. They moved from Jackson, Mississippi to Nashville 23 years ago. Her degree is in accounting; she worked for the IRS for a time, but has found much more enjoyment in her volunteer work in the community and at Otter Creek Church. MITS holds a special place in Becky's heart, especially after her first trip in 2018 with her youngest daughter, Carrie.
Richard Bradford
Richard lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He and his wife Diane have known Charles and Darlene Coulston since their days in California and have followed MITS through its entire history. Richard and Diane have five grown children and one grandchild. By day, Richard is a mild-mannered engineer at Colins Aerospace. In his off hours, he pursues weightier matters of justice, mercy, and faithfulness through his involvement in several non-profit organizations, including Central Church of Christ, where he serves as an elder.
Jody Sturgeon
Jody currently lives in Nashville, TN but is moving to Carlinville, IL this month. Prior to moving to Nashville, she spent 11 years working in Student Affairs at Pepperdine University overseeing the student employment program. The past two years she has spent most of her time teaching Indoor cycling classes and volunteering as a budget coach with Habitat for Humanity. She has two adult daughters. Jody's first trip to MITS was the summer of 2011, and she has had the opportunity to return four additional times.
