Photojournalism Internship
Description:
Love photography? Want to help us tell our story? We've got a job for you.
A MITS Photojournalism Intern is in Kenya for 10 weeks. During that time, you will do life with our students and staff in Kamulu, visiting Eastleigh and town from time to time. You will attend chapel and our staff meeting each morning and go about your day in constant contact with the staff and students.
This role is broken down into three main categories:
-
Photography: Great media hinges on great imagery. To that end, one of your primary roles is to authentically capture moments of life at MITS—in the classroom, on the soccer field, in the village, in chapel, and the moments in between. Every week, you'll cull and edit your photos.
-
Social media: You will work alongside the Social Media Intern or Coordinator to utilize MITS' social media accounts to tell the story of life at MITS—what's new, what's coming up, who we are, what we're about.
-
Content: Your photos will be used for promotional activities such as social media posts, the website, marketing campaigns, and donor engagement
