Your last task as a MITS intern is to write an exit report. It doesn't have to be long. It doesn't have to be MLA formatted. Think of this as your chance to say what's on your heart. You might use this report as an opportunity to express joy, frustration, amazement, bewilderment, sadness, hope, or all of the above.
WHO WILL READ MY EXIT REPORT?
Your exit report will be read by Christian, the MITS board, and any other MITS staff who might benefit from what you share. If you say something particularly beautiful or meaningful, we might even share it in our promotional materials or social media outlets. If you prefer that we NOT share some or all of your report with someone in particular or anyone at all, please let us know and we'll honor that.
HOW LONG DOES IT NEED TO BE?
It can be any length, but try to keep it under 5 pages, single spaced.
WHAT SHOULD I WRITE ABOUT?
Your exit report can include any information you want to share, but please consider addressing one or more of the following topics:
WHEN IS MY EXIT REPORT DUE?
Please email your exit report to Christian within 2 weeks of your return back to the States. You are welcome to submit your report before you leave Kenya, in fact, we encourage it, as life will get crazy when you return home. Allow the relative peace and quiet of Kamulu to be the canvas on which you write your final thoughts.

- How did you do with your expectations & goals?
- Share your high and your low from your whole internship experience.
- If you could change one thing about MITS, what would it be?
- What is MITS doing well? What does MITS need to improve?
- Discuss the strengths and growth areas of your particular role. How could it be improved?
