Online Donations

Our ministry is funded completely by friends who generously share their resources with us. We rely on our friends for everything from books, to food, to soccer balls. We always welcome one-time donations and thank God for your generosity; but people who give each month to cover recurring expenses are a constant encouragement to us.

Donating online is quick and easy to do. Bringing kids out from the slums to live with us in Kamulu is not possible without you.

Sponsor a Student

New students who come out to live at Kamulu need financial sponsors to help cover the costs of boarding, school materials, skills training, etc. Sponsorship is $75 a month for about 4 1/2 years. If you are interested in sponsoring a student, email Charles Coulston (charles@madeinthestreets.org) and ask to become a sponsor. When we do an intake, you will be assigned a new student.

When you sponsor a student, you'll be added to our email list so you can keep up with everything we have going on. We want you to get to participate with us in the ministry.

Write a Letter of Encouragement

You can always write a letter of encouragement to a student or one of our team members. Letters from the US or elsewhere are cherished and read again and again. You can send handwritten letters or correspond via email.

It is best to send emails to Moses Okoth, our computer teacher. He can print them and give them to whom they are intended. Moses' email is musaokoth@gmail.com. Make sure to let him know who the message is for.

Most of our staff is now on Facebook and are members of our MITS Facebook Group. Look them up!

Come Visit Us

We are always encouraged when groups come to Kenya and spend time working with us at Made in the Streets. Over the last few years, we have been blessed by having visiting teams from California, Texas, Iowa and Tennessee.

If you are interested in bringing a team to Kenya or would like some more information about visiting, please contact:

Pray for Us

Pray that our young people will be able to make the changes that lead to a better life. It is hard for anyone to truly change things about themselves, and these kids have been used to lying, stealing, using drugs and other habits that make it difficult to have a good life and to serve God's purposes. They need God's help and the good will of God's people.

Pray that our team members will remain enthusiastic and committed to loving these kids, who are sometimes not so lovable. We hope our team members will stay with MITS for many years, because we believe we need longevity to remain effective. We do not pay high salaries, and sometimes team members find other places that might pay more money. Pray that they willl stay committed to Made in the Streets, because the promise of more money is very tempting to the people here.

He picks up the poor from out of the dirt, rescues the wretched who've been thrown out with the trash,
and seats them among the honored guests, a place of honor among the brightest and best.  Psalm 113:7-8
