Featured Student: Alexander Atema

This month we are featuring Alexander Atema, who has turned 18 and is ready to leave us. Alex has been a student at MITS since 2006 and studies in the Computer Tech skills area. He has decided he wants to attend Nairobi Great Commission School, where he will learn to preach, do advanced Biblical studies and become friends with other men whose desire is to serve the church with their lives. Alex is one of our computer students who has been mentored by Moses Okoth, himself a preacher's son.

Alex will be able to work in the computer industry and preach, supporting himself until churches can provide support for him. We will seek to guide Alex in a plan for opening new churches and building them up as a mentor of churches.

Charles Ngoje, a teacher at the Nairobi Great Commission School who was part of the interviewing team for new students, has written a very nice article about Alex. Read the article, "Humbled By a Prospective Student"

Thanks for helping us find ways to bless young people such as Alex and all our other 76 teenagers living with us at Kamulu, not to mention all the children and teens we work with out on the streets of Nairobi.
He picks up the poor from out of the dirt, rescues the wretched who've been thrown out with the trash,
and seats them among the honored guests, a place of honor among the brightest and best.  Psalm 113:7-8
